Warranty and Return Policy

The Relitouch and NX series of lock's advertised on this website come with a manufacturers warranty which is as follows. If your Lock* experiences any mechanical or electronic failure caused by defects in material or manufacturing workmanship during the 2 year warranty period Actuator Systems Australia will repair or replace the Lock* at Actuator Systems Australia expense excluding ground shipment expenses. In addition during the first 30 days after purchase Actuator Systems offers a FREE hot-swap of your Lock* with a new† Lock* at Actuator Systems Australia expense for Locks* purchased through Actuator Systems Australia or its authorised resellers. Proof of purchase is required for this service You must return your original Lock* within 14 days from the date you receive your replacement Lock* or you are liable for the full retail price of the replacement Lock*. Hot-swaps after the first 30 days are available for a fee (see website for details). Your returned Lock* must include all items that were originally included in the package or additional fees will apply. After 14 days of purchase, no refund is applicable

* means a Lock manufactured and supplied by Actuator Systems Australia † means an equivalent lock in age and wear to your existing unit    

Fingerprint Locks offers a 12 months return policy on all other items based on manufacturer return policies. For further information not listed, please contact your Fingerprint Locks account manager.

Fingerprint locks will repair or replace the lock at FingerPrint Locks expense with the exception of shipping. If the lock fails within the first 30 days, Fingerprint Locks will offer a free forward replacement.the original lock must be returned within 14 days from the date you receive your replacement lock or you are liable for the full retail price of the replacement lock. Forward replacement after the first 30 days are available for a fee. Please contact FingerPrint locks for details.

Please call 0411236955 or e-mail our Returns Department at sales@fingerprintlocks.com.au to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before shipping your product. NO returns of any type will be accepted without an RMA number. For faster service, please have the following information on hand when calling for an RMA number: customer name, invoice number, serial number and nature of the problem.

All products returned MUST: be 100 percent complete, contain ALL original boxes and packing materials, have original UPC codes on the manufacturer boxes, contain all manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation provided by the manufacturer.

You are responsible for shipping charges on returned items; Fingerprint Locks will match your shipping method on your replacement or exchange item(s).On receipt of the lock, Fingerprint Locks will repair or replace at Fingerprint Locks discretion.

Fingerprint Locks strongly recommends you fully insure your return shipment in case it is lost or damaged and you use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery for your protection.

If merchandise arrives damaged: it is best to REFUSE it back to the carrier attempting delivery. If you accept the package make sure it is noted on the carrier's delivery record in order for Fingerprint Locks to file a damage claim. Save the merchandise AND the original box and packing it arrived in, notify Fingerprint Locks immediately to arrange for a carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged merchandise. If you do not notify Fingerprint Locks of damaged goods within the first 15 days of arrival, our regular return policy will override any claim of damage, and will fall under all current manufacturer restrictions. Call 61-2-9836-3768 or your Fingerprint Locks account manager to arrange for carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged merchandise.

Manufacturer restrictions do apply. Any item that is missing the UPC can ONLY be replaced with the same item. After 30 days, all manufacturers' warranties apply.

NON-DEFECTIVE returns can be accepted directly by Fingerprint Locks within 30 days from the invoice date, at Fingerprint Locks's discretion for: credit, exchange. All NON-DEFECTIVE returns are subject to a 10 percent restocking fee.

Due to manufacturers' policies, Fingerprint Locks cannot accept returns of the following items for exchange, replacement or credit for the following reasons: i) Lock was not installed as per manufacturer instructions. ii) Finger Print Locks has inspected the lock and assessed the the Lock has been damaged . DEFECTIVE merchandise can be returned for REPAIR ONLY to: Fingerprint Locks.

Fingerprint Locks reserves the right to authorize product returns beyond 30 days from the invoice date. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges back to Fingerprint Locks on returned items, and Fingerprint Locks will pay the shipping charges on the replacement or exchange item(s) going back.
