FingerPrint Locks Blog

Is there anything more frustrating than getting home after a hard day at work, only to find out that you have misplaced the keys to your property? You are left with the option of calling a locksmith, which isn’t cheap, or channeling your inner cat burglar to find a way into your home. The latter of those two options can actually be more frightening, as you quickly realize just how insecure you home may be. Let’s face it, if you can find a way in without any trouble, how easy will it be for a criminal that does that sort of thing for a living?

There are ways to take home keys out of the equation, however, and that is what this little site is all about. Biometric door locks are the perfect solution for those that have problems with frequently losing keys, or who would rather just not waste the time rummaging around in a purse or pocket to find the surprisingly elusive key. Instead of the traditional locking system, the biometric units allow you to access your home using nothing more than your fingerprint. As most of you are already aware, no two people have the same fingerprints, which make copying your biometric key a physical impossibility. That is, unless they are able to steal one of your fingers, but there is a good chance you will notice that has gone missing.

While fingerprint locks may sound like something out of a science fiction movie, they are now being very commonly used in both residential and commercial properties. What may come as a surprise to many is that they are actually incredibly affordable and easy to install. You won’t have to break the bank to change out the locks in your home to a biometric version, and you most certainly won’t have to hand over any type of body fluid sample to the installation guy in order to make them work.

If you are still a little unsure about the safety and efficiency of biometric door locks, which you shouldn’t be, you can also add a little bit of electronic magic into the mix. The electronic door locks that are now on the market feature a keypad that allow you to insert a secret code that will grant you access to your home once it has been punched in. You may have already seen something similar to this concept on newer cars, many of which feature keypad entry and push-button starters.

We encourage you to look at some of the great fingerprint locks featured on our site, as doing so will give you a much better idea of what you get for your money. If you are one of those people who have finally grown tired of dropping keys down drains, or handing over your hard earned money to locksmiths, you owe it to yourself to see how biometric door locks can take away that frustration. This is one cool invention that you will gladly give the finger to.

You often hear about the benefits of owning a rental property, of which there are many, but very few people ever delve into the potential downfalls of getting into the real estate ownership game. This blog is not about to get too specific with any of the major problems, but what we are going to tackle is what to do with your locks once a tenant leaves. Sure, they may come and dutifully hand over the keys to your place once they have moved out, but can you be sure that they haven’t made a copy of them? Imagine having a vacation rental home, and then think about the number of people that get their hands on those keys over the course of a...

Fingerprint locks are no longer just something you see on the big screen, they are now available for installation on your property. As exciting as all of that is, are they really something worth spending your hard earned money on?

If we are being totally honest, there are very few of us who can get through the day without a little bit of help from our electronics. It may be something as simple a smartphone or the TV, or perhaps a lifesaver like the GPS system in your car. While we all rely heavily on electronic items, there is always the fear in the back of our minds that they are going to fail. Let’s face it, there is nothing out there that is made to last forever. Batteries will run out of juice, and electronic components will get fried and fail to work. You could spend your whole time on fear of this happening or you could get proactive and have a backup...

When choosing a new front door for your home, there are a number of factors that go into the decision. Colour is often the first choice for many, followed by the overall design, which includes the type of lock and handle that features on the door. While some people are quite content with a pretty basic looking lock and handle, there are others that use this element of the door to show off a definite sense of style. The question then becomes whether that style becomes cramped when making the switch to fingerprint locks.

There aren’t that any people who are familiar with fingerprint locks other than those that they may have seen in the...

If you watch your fair share of Hollywood action movies, you are sure to have seen more than one scene where the star of the piece somehow has to get the fingerprints of another major player in order to gain access to their vault or top secret lair. It’s all incredibly exciting stuff, but it may also be a surprise to learn that the technology in question is actually in use today. We are not just talking about biometric locks being used to secure secret vaults of super villains, but rather the average home or business that sits in plain view of everyone.

The reality is that keys have become somewhat archaic, with fingerprints fast...

Time, money and love; these three desires propel us and help us climb to new heights to attain them. They can also keep us from reaching our dreams. The time it takes to earn more money, for example, often leaves us short of time to spend with those we love.

When we are young, vibrant, and idealistic, everything seems possible and often is, but more often than not, growing older tempers us and teaches us the value of enjoying who and what we have in our lives. Loss teaches us to cherish the fleeting moments, just as true love teaches us how to be vulnerable; how to live with purpose.

It was these thoughts that Caren had on her mind as...

James Bauer was tired and ready for a long, hard-earned break. Plans to travel west had fallen through at the last moment and in an inspired instant he had decided to travel south; as far south as he could possibly go: Australia. The past five years had certainly been thrilling and quite lucrative, but James had shifted gears quickly, from work to vacation mode and was now looking forward to a few long lazy weeks at his sprawling station.

He packed lightly, knowing every conceivable need would be satisfied upon arriving at his well stocked getaway. Sophie would have everything ready; the drinks, the food, their friends, their hammocks....
